I have been a Remedial
Massage Therapist for approximately 20 years. During this time,
I have come to understand and appreciate a number of aspects in
this industry that you probably would never know or find out, sometimes
it's too late.
Time after time, I hear of young people starting in the Massage
Therapy industry only to last no more than 6-12 months. At the start,
it all seems so easy to get everything off the ground, unfortunately
it is not.
- Are you in the process of starting a massage business?
- Do you need help in establishing a massage clinic or room?
- Are you in need of ideas to kick starting your massage business?
- Where will your clients come from?
- What are your marketing ideas to succeed?
- Choosing a business name?
Massage jobs and employment opportunities for massage therapists
are so rare in this industry, that most massage professionals must
create their own massage therapy jobs or holistic practices by starting
and building a massage business of their own.

Building a massage practice
In building a massage practice it takes skill, experience, knowledge
no-how, techniques, clinic presentation and the most important thing
is KNOWING ABOUT YOURSELF. The more you become conscious of what
drives you, motivates you, and what causes you to struggle and defeat
yourself, the more successful you become.
In my experience, I found what made the difference in creating
a successful practice for me. It had nothing to do with the amount
of money one spend on marketing and advertising, but was more about
the quality of the therapist, and ways to convey your message to
potential clients through the use of valuable marketing tools such
as business cards, skills for re-booking clients, creating brochures,
and self development.
Common questions you may want to ask yourself:
- Where do I start in building a successful massage clinic?
- How do I get a massage clinic get off the ground?
- Where will my clients come from?
- How Should I prepare a massage clinic?
- Should I work from home versus medical, chiropractic, or other
type of clinic setup?
- Which is the best way to advertise?
- Where is the best Location?
- Setting up a room or clinic
- Setting up the environment for massage therapy
- Insurance, qualifications
Most therapist think that by putting a small ad in the local newspaper
(with the me- me- me- advertising is not going to work for you),
or a letterbox drop although a great idea is insufficient. It is
the start of things going horribly wrong.
Your prospective clients are looking for a solution, they
are consumers, shoppers, they are looking for someone to help them
change their way of life to better themselves.
You become the solution that they have been looking for.
You are the solution; you are what they have been looking for. You
are what makes them feel better.
With my knowledge and 20 years of experience I can help you:
- become a successful massage therapist
- understand your questions
- on the best possible way in setting up your room, or clinic
- how to best market your business.
I am sure that my experience, the ideas, and knowledge I have built
over the past years will benefit you and take you to another level
in your goal to achieve and become a successful Therapist.
