Health Rebates

Most private health funds accept claims for remedial massage therapy under the extras cover.

Larger banks and companies provide insurance to staff and many of these accept remedial massage claims.

You will need to investigate this further with your private health fund in order to know if you qualify for rebates under your existing cover.

Workcover

If you require treatment for a workcover or Comcare related work injury and workcover or Comcare has accepted your claim, your treatment costs will be paid for by those authorities. However, a medical practitioner must refer you for treatment. You will need to consult with your physician to obtain a written referral addressed to your treating therapist.

You will also need to bring with you all your relevant workcover details and x-ray reports that you may have.
